Implats Reappoints Royal McGrady

Royal McGrady Mathematics Academy commenced with the Curriculum Support Programme in Mathematics, Physical Science and English for Molotlegi Secondary School in Luka, Rustenburg. The programme is fully sponsored by Implats. Our partnership with Implats and Molotlegi Secondary School commenced in 2021 and our support ensured that the school’s pass rate improves from 58% to 80.7%. Our approach to curriculum support is anchored on our First Principles approach which promotes extensive understanding of mathematics and physical science concepts. We do not just prepare learners for exams, but rather transfer knowledge which is more sustainable.

The 2021 programme produced outstanding results, with many learners granted admission at various universities studying Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) focused degrees. Our objective is to ensure that we provide support to as many learners as possible, particularly from previously disadvantaged communities. We will work tirelessly, in collaboration with the North West department of education and teachers in ensuring that we improve from last year’s outstanding performance and give hope to all the learners
